BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE: SECTION 1. That Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Chapter 24, be and is hereby amended so as to add a new Section 24-86 as follows: Sec. 24-86. Collection of fines for nonmoving traffic violations; service by mail. The Clerk of City Court may effect service of process for the collection of fines for nonmoving traffic violations through the use of registered or certified mail, addressee only, return receipt requested, upon any person, corporation or other entity, in lieu of personal service of process. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be effective two (2) weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
